REPLACED is a 2.5D cinematic action-platformer set in a retro-futuristic cyberpunk world called Phoenix-City. You play as R.E.A.C.H., an AI consciousness trapped inside a human body, navigating a dark and mysterious world full of secrets.
The gameplay blends fluid movement — running, sneaking, and climbing through handcrafted environments — with combat that chains melee strikes with ranged finishers in fast, responsive sequences. Reviewers who previewed the game described the combat as similar to Batman Arkham in 2D, with every scene telling a story through its stunning visual direction.
The art direction is the game's most obvious selling point. REPLACED simply walks in and becomes the most beautiful game in the room. The moment you walk through the opening scene, genre expectations stop mattering — the presentation is that striking.
